Combing strips out the short, rough fibers before the yarn is spun, which is why the surface feels smoother than a standard tee. Side-seamed construction is the difference between this and a cheaper tubular blank: the shirt is cut and sewn to shape, so it keeps that shape instead of twisting after a dozen washes. Taped shoulders, tear-away label, and a fine 32-singles knit that holds print detail sharp. Wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low.
